About Our Works
Cherie Marion, a local photographer, has been involved in image arts for as long as she can remember. Since she was a young girl she brought a camera to school and has been taking photographs ever since. There was no doubt that photography would become a huge part of her life. After graduating from the image arts program at Ryerson Polytechnic University, Cherie continued her education by working behind the scenes at a local photography lab, Skylab. Cherie processed, printed, scanned, retouched, restored…you name it she had a hand in it. While working at Skylab she photographed weddings, portraits and personal work on her days off. Things got exciting in the summer of 2006 when Sam Roberts Band came into town and played a free show at the Windsor Raceway. Cherie brought her camera and snapped some photo’s of the performance. A few days later she sent an email to the band along with some shots and received a response. Since that show in 2006 Cherie has been photographing the Sam Roberts Band on a regularly basis and is currently selling a poster montage of live shots with them. The poster montage is currently available for purchase on the Sam Roberts Band website.

Through her relationship with SRB Cherie began to pursue other Canadian artists to photograph. Within the last year she was photographed The Tragically Hip, Our Lady Peace, Pilot Speed, Serena Ryder, The Stills, The Trews and City & Colour.

Besides photographing the live shows Cherie works with Windsor Body Magazine, photographs weddings, portraits, personal art work and volunteers her photographic services with a local cancer charity, Transition 2 Betterness.
